Important Details
Regarding Custom Designs

The first step to ordering a custom-designed gown is to call us. We will discuss design ideas with you, to get a clear idea of what you like and would want incorporated into  your gown. In order to help us get an idea of what you are looking for, please look at magazines, bridal shops and other sources before you call, so that you have a general idea already of what you do and do not like.

The second step is to receive fabric swatches and sketches. After we have spoken with you, our designer will do a set of sketches based on what was discussed. The sketches will include prices.

The third step is to finalize the design ideas. You may decide that you like the top of one sketch, but the skirt of another. The sketches are to help us finalize exactly what you want. If none of the sketches are what you want, call us again and we can rework the details.

The last step is to place a 50% deposit along with your exact measurements.

Included in the price of your dress will be two fit dresses. These are samples of the actual dress made from a cheap cotton fabric, for fit purposes only. (These are 1/2 muslins, from the thighs up.
) You will want to find a good seamstress in your local area who can fit these sample dresses for you. Once we have the fit how you want it, we will cut and sew the final dress.

Depending on the complexity of the design this entire process can take anywhere from 10 weeks to several months. The absolute minimum ordering time is 10 weeks (for regular pricing) but we do prefer a 6 month timeline.

Please call or email us if you have questions about any of these steps .
